Why I Want to Switch Back to Iphone 12
Why I Want to Switch Back to iPhone 12
What is iPhone 12?
iPhone 12 is rumored to come out later this year possibly in November. It has been rumored to be delayed due to the Global Pandemic but we will see. There are supposed to be 3 models.
What I like
- Apple always has a white phone
- Apple makes their processors themselves which allow them to be the fastest and most efficient
- A harmony between their hardware and software
- iPhones have way more options for cases and accessories
- iPhone apps run better like Instagram and DJI Apps
- Facetime and iMessage
- Just received a 13 MacBook Pro so would like to be able to have seamless integration
What I don't like
- Being forced deeper and deeper into an ecosystem
- Price, Apple products are definitely overpriced in comparison to competion
- How Apple devices don't play well with others
- The iPhone 11 and 10r are cheap ways to get into apple but those screens no.
- The superiority complex of having an Apple device lol
What do I use now?
What I like
- I love my S10+ plus
- The beautiful White Ceramic
- The screen is amazing
- The camera is amazing
- The phone is still faster than I need.
- Samsung Dex is simply amazing! A computer just with your phone...
- I can connect my phone to my Camera which has allowed me to do my photography
- I just found out I can link my phone to my windows computer wireless but its not great.
What I don't like
- Samsung didn't make a White S20 this year...
- My problems with my Samsung are mainly based on Google.
- Apps like Instagram and others are simply not coded as well on Android.
- Lack of accessories, Samsung the most popular android and still has less.
- Even though I have all these Samsung Devices they don't provide extra value together
Why I wanna switch?
While Apple products are definitely overpriced in comparison to its competition, maybe there's a reason for it. The fact that Apple hardware and its software are all made by themselves allow them to simply make superior phones. The hard truth is you better have money if you want to play with Apple so if I want to get into the ecosystem I will need to prepare a small sum of cash.
- iPhone 12 $1400
- AppleCare $200
- White Apple Watch $400
- Airpods Pro $250 ( with Applecare)
- Ipad Pro $900
So let's do some math, Let's just say I want iPhone and Airpod Pros. That's about $1850 just to get started. And please keep in mind this is not including the 10 cases I will inevitably buy as well as al the other accessories. Well, I definitely would have to get an Apple Watch at a minimum so that's actually $2250. And since everything integrates so well I'd want an iPad eventually which brings us to a grand total of $3150 just to play with some Apples...
There's a reason Apple is worth 206 Billion dollars.
Is it even smart to spend that much money on stuff I already have?
I think I'm just going to see how long my phone lasts me and continue putting my money in investments and see where that takes me. That way if my phone does break I can start going down that list.
